An active comments section is a great way to find out which blog post topic piqued your reader’s interest. For example, if you’re writing a blog post about the Keto Diet, you can offer a link to a free 7-day menu plan within the content they’re currently reading to move them to your email list, or tag them as someone who likes meal plans.
Your current customer base is a great place to start building your email list. If you have a CRM system, you probably have already have clients’ email addresses. The more information you have, the better. Start with an overarching list that includes all customers and then keep segmenting and branching out based on who your customers are, where they are located, what they purchased, or any other number of relevant variables that you have collected. If you don’t have a CRM and have not been collecting emails of past clients, then you’ll have little tougher time. Try calling your past and current customers, look on their website for contact information or reach out on social media to acquire their emails. Starting with your current and past customers will give you a solid foundation to build on.

Doing a target audience research need some new topics to cover or simply want to see how people perceive your product, service, or a brand? Use Survey Monkey to ask them, offering the results in exchange for their email address and voila! Got yourself an email list pretty quick!
The first step in creating compelling content is having a clear picture of who you’re writing for. For example, if your business revolves around selling digital design solutions, you have to know what sort of people want design solutions, are they college students or small businesses? Do they want a quick fix or are they looking for permanent solutions? Where do they live? What sort of income do they have?

Create entirely new content.
